American Hustle
American Hustle and Gravity received 10 nominations each for this year's Oscars, which take place on 2 March.
Both films feature in the Best Picture category, along with Captain Phillips, Dallas Buyers Club, Gravity, Her,Nebraska, Philomena, 12 Years A Slave and The Wolf Of Wall Street.
Both Bradley Cooper and Christian Bale have been nominated for their roles in American Hustle, which was directed by David O. Russell. Cooper has been nominated for the Best Supporting Actor Oscar, while Bale is shortlisted for Best Actor.
Amy Adams is up for the Best Actress award. Meryl Streep, Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett and Judi Dench were also nominated in the category.
Jennifer Lawrence is shortlisted for the Best Supporting Actress award. She won Best Actress in 2013 for Silver Linings Playbook, which was also directed by David O. Russell.
Alfonso Cuaron's Gravity received 10 Oscar nominations, The movie is nominated in the Best Picture category, while Alfonso Cuaron is up for Best Director.
Sandra Bullock is nominated in the Best Actress category for her role as an astronaut who gets stranded in space.
12 Years A Slave received a total of nine Oscar nominations. The movie, which was directed by Steve McQueen, received a nod in the prestigious Best Picture category. Michael Fassbender is nominated for Best Supporting Actor for his role as a brutal slave-owner. He's set to go up against Barkhad Abdi, Bradley Cooper, Jared Leto and Jonah Hill.Chiwetel Ejiofor is nominated in the Best Actor category for his performance as Solomon Northup. Steve McQueen is nominated in the Best Director category. He's set to go up against Alfonso Cuaron, Alexander Payne, Martin Scorsese and David O. Russell. Lupita Nyong'o also received a nomination for her role in 12 Years A Slave. Other nominees include Sally Hawkins, Jennifer Lawrence, Julia Roberts and June Squibb.
Leonardo DiCaprio is nominated for his role in The Wolf Of Wall Street. He's in the Best Actor category and is set to go up against Chiwetel Ejiofor, Matthew McConaughey, Christian Bale and Bruce Dern. Despite being nominated three times for an Oscar in the past, Leonardo is yet to win. The movie received five nominations in total. The Wolf Of Wall Street is also nominated for Best Picture and Best Director for Martin Scorsese. Jonah Hill received a nomination for his role in the critically acclaimed movie. He's in the Best Supporting Actor category.
Matthew McConaughey is shortlisted in the Best Actor category for his role in Dallas Buyers Club., Jared Leto has also been nominated for his role in the movie. He's in the Best Supporting Actor category. The movie is also nominated for Best Original Screenplay and will go up against American Hustle, Blue Jasmine,Nebraska and Her. Woody Allen's Blue Jasmine also received a number of nominations. Cate Blanchett is in the running for the Best Actress Oscar and the movie is nominated for Best Original Screenplay. Sally Hawkins is nominated in the Best Supporting Actress category.
Captain Phillips also received several nominations. Despite Paul Greengrass missing out on a Best Director nomination, the film is shortlisted for Best Adapted Screenplay. Barkhad Abdi is nominated in the Best Supporting Actor category for his part as a Somali pirate.
Philomena received a total of three nominations. As well as Dame Judi Dench being nominated in the Best Actress category, it's up for Best Picture and Best Adapted Screenplay.
The other Best Adapted Screenplay nominees are Before Midnight, Captain Phillips, 12 Years A Slave, and The Wolf Of Wall Street.
Mandela: Long Walk To Freedom is nominated for one Oscar in the Best Original Song category. U2's 'Ordinary Love' is nominated for the award.
Bruce Dern was nominated in the Best Actor category for his role in Nebraska. The film received a total of five nominations including Best Picture.
Meryl Streep is nominated in the Best Actress category for her role in August: Osage County. Spike Jonze's Her is nominated in the Best Picture category. It's also up for Best Original Screenplay.
Frozen is nominated in the Best Animation category. It's up against The Croods, Despicable Me 2, The Wind Risesand Ernest and Celestine.
