He attended a press meet along with Srikant where he shared his thoughts on Uday Kiran’s death. Though he was unaware of the problems that Uday Kiran was facing, Tarun said that Uday Kiran committing suicide was indeed very sad.
He added that the film industry has lost a good actor. When the scribes asked him about his opinion on four families dominating the Telugu film industry, Tarun said that such comments were baseless. He said nobody could ruin somebody’s career.
He said that a film would run if it had the potential. He also brushed aside the allegations that small films do not run due to big films. He also gave out examples of small films that have done well at the box office, to support his argument. It did not matter if the film was big or small, what mattered was the budget, he said.
He immediately added that many small budget films have done really well in the recent past. Tarun said there was no stopping the audience if the talk about a film was good.
He informed the media that he was currently acting in two films -- Veta and Yuddham
