Was Paisa Worth Rs 14 Crore?

Krishna Vamsi has been going through a low phase. Nani hasn’t had anything big film in his kitty after Eega, where he had little much to do. So, when both of them came together, there were hushed whispers about how the film would shape up. One thought that Krishna Vamsi would wave his magic wand and somehow manage a hit. Then, the film got delayed forever. Though top producers like Bellamkonda Suresh tried to salvage the film by bailing it out, once he watched the film, he silently let go of the thought. Finally, looks like their fears have come true. The film has turned out to be a huge dud at the box office. But there is one question on the minds of Film Nagar people. They are unable to decipher as to what made Krishna Vamsi spend that kind of money. If one looks at the cast and crew, barring Nani, there are no big names in the cast. Similarly, all technicians are young. But Krishna Vamsi spent Rs 14 crore on the film. Though the cinematography is awesome, the locations are surely not out of the world. In fact, he could have easily told the same story using Rs 5 crore. The producer would have actually made money then. The film was hyped a lot and a lot of money was spent.
