Kodi Ramakrishna, known for making
graphical blockbusters such as ‘Ammoru’ and ‘Arundhati’ among others, is
ready with his next, ‘Avataram’. He says it’s a fight between a devil and a
helpless woman. “It’s loosely based on a real incident that prevailed in a
village of Kerala.
It’s a film where a woman does
something extraordinary and it boasts of great graphics too. We imported
equipments from Germany and Australia for graphics,” said the director,
speaking at the trailer launch of the film on Tuesday in Hyderabad.
He added that actress Radhika, who
is from Karnataka, will fill the void that was left by Soundarya. Rajendra
Kumar who has penned the dialogues said that Ramakrishna has spent months
monitoring the post production. “He hardly put a foot wrong and once the film
release; people will get to know about it. For a change women across the
State will stay away from the TV sets to watch ‘Avataram’,” he observed.
More than two years in the making,
the film, a production of M Yugandhar Reddy on Arundhati Art Films, will hit
the screens on February 27. Also starring Bhanupriya, Rishi, Annapoorna and
Sathya Prakash in supporting roles, the film has musical renditions by
Ghantadi Krishna.
