From a long time, there is a battle going on between the film critics and the film industry folks. The critics are treated as the worst enemies by many cine folks as they perceive the film reviews damage their business in a big way.
But there is a hard fact that both sides have to accept, films are not affected by anyone except the real audience.
The classic example for that is the recent Bollywood release ‘Krrish 3’. Generally they say ratings will affect cinema extensively.
So, when ‘Krrish 3’ came, many critics slammed it universally. But the film has defied all that and the collections are rocking. The film is on its way to touch Rs 250 crores collection.
That way ‘Krrish 3’ crossed all the records including the recent top grosser ‘Chennai Express’ starring SRK and Deepika Padukone.
The moral of the story is, critics need not feel high or great about their reviews or ratings nor the cine folks be worried that the ratings will do anything.
Of course, there is another argument which says Krrish being a big film it is okay but small and medium budget movies do get affected big time with ratings. The battle still continues..
